Community Groups

Our Vision
To cultivate Christ-centered communities with a collective, teamwork environment where people grow in their relationships with God and with each other, to ultimately impact our Church, our community and world for Jesus Christ.

Overview
Our community groups meet regularly during the week to share a meal, discuss the Sunday message, share, and pray together. Given the size of our church, community groups provide intimate communities for developing personal relationships. Our community groups are currently organized by location and life-stage.

Why Community Groups?
See our page concerning CCPC Core Values.

What We Do
Considering our values, mission and vision for fellowship groups, we are organized into several groups of up to 15 persons, employing the following basic characteristics:

  • Meet in homes over a meal on consistent week nights or weekends, at least on alternate weeks.
  • Engage in the study of God’s Word, using common discussion material based upon weekly sermons.
  • Encourage healthy camaraderie, intimate fellowship and sharing, while “speaking the truth in love” under an air of confidentiality and kindness.
  • Seek the Lord dutifully in worship and prayer.
  • Plug into the larger church in various social and service projects.
  • Invite and welcome visitors and nonbelievers into a safe, cordial environment.
  • Multiply new leaders and ministry participants to meet the needs of our growing congregation.
